The Recording Academy has announced the 2024 inductees for the Grammy Hall of Fame.
Among them are Lauryn Hill's "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill," Guns N' Roses' "Appetite For Destruction," and De La Soul's "3 Feet High and Rising."
The induction ceremony will take place on May 21 at the NOVO Theater in Los Angeles, featuring a diverse mix of ten recordings, including works from Buena Vista Social Club, Donna Summer, Charley Pride, Wanda Jackson, Kid Ory’s Creole Orchestra, the Doobie Brothers, and William Bell.
According to the Grammy Hall of Fame's criteria, eligible albums must be at least 25 years old and exhibit qualitative or historical significance. The 2024 class comprises six singles and four debut studio albums.
Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, expressed pride in recognizing these influential recordings and their impact on music and culture. Established in 1973, the Grammy Hall of Fame honors recordings released before the inception of the Grammy Awards in 1958.
The 2024 inductees will be celebrated at the Grammy Museum's inaugural Gala and concert on May 21 in Los Angeles.
